We are a provider of international cooperation services for sustainable development and work to build a future worth living around the world.PaRD brings together more than 150 religious and other civil society organisations, multilateral and governmental entities, and academia. The Secretariat of the International Partnership on Religion and Sustainable Development (PaRD) is attached to the sector project. It advises BMZ and supports with background papers, recommendations, tests innovative approaches in cooperation with religious actors, organises events, develops tailor-made stakeholder analyses and training tools, and publishes good practices. The sector project “Religion for Sustainable Development” is implemented on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) by GIZ. Their commitment is therefore essential for achieving the Agenda 2030 with its 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Especially in the Global South, religious and traditional representatives enjoy a high level of trust among the population. Many of them are inspired to contribute to the well-being of their societies and sustainable development. Religion matters! Around four out of five people worldwide feel connected to a spiritual/religious/indigenous tradition.
